Paver Sealing

Definition

Paver sealing is applying a sealer to cleaned and dried pavers to lock joint sand, deepen color, and slow weed growth, staining, and efflorescence.

The job is mostly prep. Pavers must be cleaned, any efflorescence cleared, joints re-sanded with polymeric sand where needed, and the surface fully dry before sealer goes down. Sealing over moisture or haze traps both and turns cloudy.

Sealers range from a natural matte to a wet look, and the choice changes the price and the customer conversation. Paver sealing is a high-ticket add-on to a cleaning business because it sells the result the customer actually wants: pavers that stay looking new.
