Good-Better-Best

Definition

Good-better-best is a quoting approach that offers three tiered options instead of one price, anchoring value and letting the customer choose how much to buy.

A single price is a yes-or-no decision. Three tiers - a basic wash, a wash plus an add-on like gutter brightening, and a full package with sealing or extra surfaces - change the question to which one, and many customers move up from the cheapest option.

The tiers also protect your price floor. The lowest option stays above your costbook number, while the upgrades capture customers who want more, raising average ticket without pressure selling. It works best when each tier is concrete and clearly worth its step up.
