Percent Solution
Definition
Percent solution is the concentration of sodium hypochlorite in your applied mix, expressed as a percentage - the single number that decides whether a wash works and whether it does damage.
A house wash typically lands near 1% SH at the surface, while a roof wash runs 2–3%. You reach that target by diluting strong pool-grade SH with water, accounting for how much your downstream injector already dilutes it.
Getting the percent right is a balance. Too weak and growth survives, so the customer calls back. Too strong and you risk damaging plants, etching, or stripping color from siding. Knowing your starting strength and your injection ratio lets you predict the percent you are actually putting on the wall.
