Costbook

Definition

A costbook is a documented record of what each service costs you to deliver - labor, chemical, fuel, and overhead - so you can price from real numbers instead of guessing.

Without a costbook, prices come from gut feel and competitor copying, which is how operators end up busy and broke. With one, you know the labor hours, chemical cost, and overhead share behind each job type and can set a price that clears a target margin.

In WashRoute Pro, the owner saves unit-cost, price-floor, target-margin, and package-quantity rows that feed estimated quote costs and margin checks. Costbook does not capture actual completed-job costs or update supplier prices automatically.

WashRoute Pro field guide team

We turn exterior-cleaning workflows into practical guides on pricing, routes, crews, before-and-after job records, and repeat work. We mark examples clearly and update material when the trade or the product changes.

See it on your own jobs

Use customer-photo intake, review mapped RouteFill jobs whose customers chose flexible timing, run assigned CrewMode work, keep completion proof with the job, and save owner-reviewed CleanCycle renewal drafts.
