Nozzle Tips

Definition

Nozzle tips are the interchangeable spray ends that set the fan angle and pressure of the water, from a needle-thin red tip to a wide white tip to a black soap tip.

The number on a quick-connect tip combines the spray angle and an orifice size matched to your flow. Common angles are 0, 15, 25, and 40 degrees, with the wide black soap tip used to drop pressure and engage a downstream injector.

Matching the tip to the surface protects both the work and your reputation. A narrow tip held close will etch concrete, gouge wood, and cut paint, while the soap tip is what lets you apply chemical gently and then switch back to rinse.
